Luella Revill

Hi, I’m Luella. My dance journey began when I was six, watching my older sister in her classes at Shaftesbury Dance. I was very shy and it took me a couple of years before I felt confident enough to take my first dance steps – but once I did, my passion for dancing took off.

From that moment, I was hooked and loved learning any style offered. I was nominated for an IDTA Freestyle Scholarship, selected for the competition squad, and competed extensively, qualifying multiple times for the IDTA Medalist of the Year nationwide finals in Blackpool.

After countless shows and competitions, I auditioned for the Jill Clewes Academy for Theatre Arts, where I explored even more dance styles. It was an amazing opportunity, and I balanced this intensive training with my regular timetable at Shaftesbury Dance.

Through expert guidance from Mr. Bryl Berry, Miss Louise Wilberforce, Mr. Peter Bailey, and Miss Vivienne Shelley, I progressed through the IDTA examination system to teaching level. I started my teaching exams at 16 and now hold multiple teaching qualifications with IDTA, am qualified as a Level 1 Acro teacher with Acrobatic Arts, and am a member of the ADFP.

I’m committed to continually expanding my dance knowledge and pursuing further qualifications. I’ve trained countless pupils across a wide range of styles – from ballet and ballroom to competitions and shows – helping them succeed in exams, competitions, and performances. I’ve even choreographed shows at the Tower Ballroom in Blackpool, returning for a second successful show in 2022.

I’m proud of all the pupils I’ve taught and aim to support dancers at every level. I know how challenging those first steps can be, so even taking a first step into the studio is a moment to celebrate.
